JOB TITLE: Line Cook
Line Cook is responsible for ensuring the highest quality food is served at all times. The Line Cook handles all aspects of their assigned cooking station – sets up, stock product, cook, and presents dishes according to recipes, cleans, sanitizes, and maintains equipment, utensils, and tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of recent experience relevant to this position.
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking procedures.
- Must be fluent in the English language, both written and oral. Multilingual skills are a plus.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Must be able to work quickly in a confined area and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing, bright lights and dust and communicate during this time – sometimes within a small area.
- Understands and enforce federal, state, and local food sanitation regulations

- Strong attention to detail.

- Communicates with management, and all other team members to immediately rectify any and all customer needs and requests.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment as outlined by California Health District
PHYSICAL AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.
- Ability to work in elevated temperatures.
- Continuous bending, reaching and twisting required.
- Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations and requests while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
- Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend, climb and carry objects as needed per business needs.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and manually push/pull up to 150 pounds.
- Excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English is a must.
- Must be able to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing, bright lights and dust and communicate during this time – sometimes within a small area.
- Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
