Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide primary care services to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive and patient-centered care.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments
- Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses, injuries, and infections
- Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and medical imaging
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
- Provide family planning services and reproductive health counseling
- Perform minor procedures, including suturing and wound care
- Administer vaccinations and other immunizations
- Provide infant care, including well-child visits and vaccinations
- Collaborate with psychiatrists to manage mental health conditions and prescribe psychopharmacology medications
- Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and self-care techniques
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in [state]
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical setting, but willing to accept entry level NPs
- Proficiency in administering injections and performing minor procedures
- Knowledge of ventilator management for critically ill patients
- Familiarity with nursing home regulations and experience providing care to elderly patients
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
