Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scheduler to join our team. As a Senior Scheduler, you will be responsible for overseeing the production planning and scheduling activities to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery. Your expertise in supply chain management, inventory control, and production planning will be crucial in optimizing our manufacturing processes.
Duties:
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, and material availability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data for accurate scheduling
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast material needs and ensure optimal inventory levels
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery deadlines
- Identify potential bottlenecks or issues in the production process and propose solutions
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials
- Analyze production data and provide reports on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste
- Continuously improve scheduling processes and systems for increased efficiency
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Scheduler or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Proficient in using MRP systems for inventory control and production planning
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their application in scheduling processes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
