Commercial Plumbing/Mechanical Estimator & Project Manager
BML Services is currently looking for a highly motivated, self-reliant, customer oriented and experienced Commercial Plumbing/Mechanical Estimator & Project Manager to help with sales, estimation and management BML plumbing and mechanical projects. Being able to pass a background check is critical for this position, as it will be required in order to receive access to Hill AFB and other federal or state projects, as well as having a valid and current Journeyman or Master Plumber License.

Responsibilities:
The right candidate will need to be experienced and comfortable performing estimation, sales and project management in Commercial & Industrial Plumbing & Mechanical environments with the installation of Boiler systems, heating systems, drainage waste and vent systems, heated/chilled water piping systems, etc. They will also need to be capable of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously, communicating directly and effectively with customers vendors and BML staff in order to accomplish project goals, recognize/execute critical paths, prioritize safety, and maintain a good working relationship with all parties involved. Detailed Responsibilities:
- Representing and promoting BML Services, LLC
- Establishing new customer relationships as well as nurturing existing relationships
- Estimating and creating proposals
- Soliciting subcontractor and vendor pricing and ensuring proper scope inclusion
- Reading and interpreting plumbing/mechanical blueprints, diagrams and equipment installation instructions.
- Planning, designing and performing the installation of complete plumbing/mechanical systems within project parameters and in compliance with the International Plumbing Code and other relevant codes.
- Providing on-site direction, supervision and leadership for personnel in order to complete jobs within specific guidelines that include quality standards, time requirements, and budget considerations.
- Material purchasing and management.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and vendors.
- Communicate and work closely with customers, vendors and electricians
- Create and maintain fluid and effective project schedules
- Proactively handle project issues and/or risks
- Forecast deficiencies and unrealistic expectations while identifying solutions
- Regularly inspect work in progress to ensure conformity to specifications and schedules
- Preparation and review of project submittals and shop drawings for compliance with specifications
- Subcontractor/vendor submittal management
- Manage close-out process; gather all documents, submit per customer requirements
Qualifications:
- Must have knowledge in negotiated/competitive bid submissions
- 2+ years of estimating experience
- 4+ years of experience in Plumbing/Mechanical Systems
- Skill in planning, organizing, and executing plumbing/mechanical projects mandated by changing codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze plumbing/mechanical problems, devise, and carry out effective plans for the installation and remodel of plumbing/mechanical systems.
- Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret plumbing/mechanical plans, schematics and blueprints.
- As a good portion of our work is with the state or federal government, individuals need to be able to pass a background check.
- Ability to read/interpret/understand construction documents, plans and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam & Procore
- Ability to learn and adapt to each customer's submittal/close-out process
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong analytical skills
