Rotating days; 6:30am -6:30pm; Week 1 Wednesday, Thurs, Friday; Week 2 Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun or vice versa
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, is responsible for a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of the QPI and P&G owned equipment. This position is responsible for maintaining electrical, mechanical and related systems. This position also performs the work of employees and any other duties seen fit by Leadership. Responsible for reporting and completing all SAFETY related maintenance duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as seen fit by Leadership.
Performs minor and major repairs on all equipment including the Texwrap Bundlers and heat tunnel. This site bundles Dawn Powerwash.
Performs preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, grease bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.
Completes daily, weekly, and/or monthly CIL on equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment.
Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required
Ability to perform physical labor such as moving furniture and equipment, lifting, climbing ladders, etc.
Ability to troubleshoot issues with equipment to find the root cause (mechanical/electrical). Ability to communicate this ability to machine operators as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of maintenance experience or an acceptable equivalent
Combination of education and experience.
Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools; operate a forklift and pass the forklift certification test; review and identify projects needed to be serviced by outside contractors; follow oral and/or written instructions; communicate effectively in both oral and written form; establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those contacted during work assignments.
General knowledge tools, equipment, and supplies.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.
