About this Position:
TJFACT is seeking to hire a Health Communications/Training Specialist to join our Team! This position will support the CDC-DHP in Atlanta, GA.!
The candidate shall independently provide system updates and enhancements, organizational processes, and systems to improve the effectiveness of both organizational strategy and operations of programs supported by DHP. This will include updating, enhancing, and maintaining the data repository and internal Power BI-based DHP Dashboard, and other program management tools to track progress efficiently and effectively toward national goals and manage/monitor DHP recipients. The contractor shall support DHP at all levels and perform and complete all activities
This role is contingent upon award.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a DHP-wide communication and stakeholder engagement plan.
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions with DHP branches and offices.
- Conduct demonstrations and provide a forum for soliciting feedback and providing post-engagement updates to stakeholders.
- Conduct presentations to leadership teams, branches/offices, and DHP staff to share project progress and accomplishments, and conduct demonstrations.
- Develop a strategic plan for the release of each Dashboard iteration, including training and technical assistance tools and activities.
- Include a timeline of engagement/dissemination opportunities in the communications and stakeholder engagement plan.
- Conduct a presentation of the communication and stakeholder engagement plan to the COR, DHP PM, and OIDM project team within twelve (12) weeks of contract award.
- Submit a draft communication and stakeholder engagement plan to the COR and DHP PM for review no less than ten (10) business days before the presentation date.
- Incorporate feedback and submit a final communication and stakeholder engagement plan to the COR and DHP PM within five (5) business days after the presentation date.
- Develop and deliver project update presentations for designated DHP leadership team(s) up to four times per project year for each group.
- Submit an outline of the presentation to the COR for approval.
- Submit the draft presentation.
- Incorporate feedback.
- Submit the final presentation.
- Deliver the presentation slides to the COR.
- Develop and deliver annual project presentations to the COR and DHP Dashboard working group, one time per project year.
- Host virtual stakeholder meetings with approximately 20 staff from each DHP Office and Branch to obtain information on their anticipated use of data dashboards and input regarding data inclusion and design.
- Create all necessary materials to invite participants no later than 30 days in advance of the meeting and submit them to the COR for dissemination.
- Develop a meeting agenda and presentation/discussion slides.
- Facilitate the meeting and take minutes during the meeting.
- Submit the recorded minutes to the COR via email within 10 business days after the meeting.
- Develop and deliver up to ten (10) 1-hour training sessions for the identified various audience groups after each major release of the DHP dashboard.
- Ensure all slides and training scripts are Section 508-compliant.
- Provide a draft of the training presentation and script to the COR and DHP PM for review no later than 2 weeks before each training.
- Conduct a practice webinar for the COR and DHP Dashboard project team no later than 1 week before each training.
- Incorporate feedback and submit the final presentation to the COR and DHP PM no later than 2 business days before each training.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Obtain HSPD-12 Clearance
- 5 years of experience conducting training and technical assistance on complex concepts and data for a variety of audiences (e.g., non-technical, technical, scientific)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work experience with government or public health organizations.
- Experience in developing training materials and conducting virtual or in-person training sessions.
- Proficiency in using various communication and visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Ability to translate technical information into understandable content for diverse audiences.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Communications, Education, or a related discipline.
