Quality Assurance Technician
Broad Responsibilities:
· Food Safety and Quality leader in a food production environment.
· Support QA Prerequisite programs.
· Performs internal audits and tests daily. Analyzes results and takes appropriate action.
· Reports to the Director of Quality.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Ensure employee commitment to food safety is the highest priority and that records show adherence to all policies for producing safe quality food.
· Manage and reinforce a plant-wide positive food safety culture program.
· Responsible for ensuring that only safe and high-quality products are to be manufactured and shipped to customers. Responsible to report any conditions immediately to senior-site management that would impact the safety or quality of our products.
· As an essential member of Quality Assurance Team, the member communicates and coordinates effectively with Quality Assurance Team on critical control points and potential food safety hazards as a part of daily tasks.
· Manages food safety program and implementation during production and changeovers including monitoring temperature danger zone limits and allergen management program.
· Collects data and analyzes cooker and production lines for heating and cooling temperatures.
· Assists processing leaders in the evaluation of product quality metrics.
· Performs daily Operational Sanitation Inspections.
· Is committed to putting in place processes to further improve our food safety and quality systems.
· Responsible for HACCP “verification”, “validation” and final “pre-shipment” steps daily.
· Conduct special projects as assigned.
· Able to work flexible hours including Saturday production.

Education Preferred:- Bachelor’s Degree in science related field (chemistry, biology, food science, microbiology)
Experience Preferred:- 1-2 years of experience in the food industry. Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, and regulatory.
Other:- Prefer Certified SQF Practitioner

Salary: Salary listed below is the minimum and will increase based on previous experience (i.e. education, professional experience).
