The Team You’ll Work With
The Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization working with 50
City agencies and offices, 300 institutional funders, and 100 community-based partners. The Mayor's
Fund is designed to promote partnerships between the City and the private sector to support public
programs. Established in 1994, the organization serves as an important vehicle for foundations,
corporations and individuals to contribute to City programs that enhance the lives of New Yorkers. The
Mayor’s Fund is committed to facilitating innovative public-private partnerships that support NYC's
emerging needs, while simultaneously evaluating the efficacy and merit of programs for future
funding. The Mayor's Fund and its partners advance initiatives that improve the lives of New Yorkers
from all walks of life and across all five boroughs. In building partnerships, the Mayor's Fund seeks to
seed promising, evidence-based models; evaluate the efficacy of new programs and policies; bring
innovative solutions to scale; and respond to the emerging needs of the city.
This exciting and re-imagined Executive Director role will offer a new opportunity for partnership
between the city and the philanthropic community. As the face of the organization and the chief
fundraiser who will set the tone and the overall strategy for the organization’s fundraising
performance, this dynamic leader will identify, assess, and secure appropriate partnership
opportunities to advance the city directly, and through the City-affiliated non-profit organizations with
corporate and community partners. Such areas may include, but are not limited to, financial support
