Hydro Service and Supplies is a leader in the design, fabrication, installation, and service of high purity water systems. What began as a small start-up Service DI (SDI) company in 1967 is today an industry standard for customized pretreatment and filtration skids, high purity water generation systems, storage and distribution skids, reclamation systems, and high-performance process skids for Life Sciences.
Our Operations team is searching for a highly-skilled Installation Technician to contribute to Hydro Service and Supplies growth and help us maintain our position as an innovative authority. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic. He/She will be expected to prepare and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis, ensuring the quality we seek is being achieved.
Responsibilities:
Assist with installation of Capital project systems.
· Travel is required for installations in other states and/or Divisions
· Use of project management software to maintain schedule and accountability.
· Be able to communicate with Division any utility requirements, changes that are not in original Scope, and any further expect actions from the Customer.
· Work with Installation Leads and Project Coordinator to communicate site information to relevant groups (Corporate, engineering, tech support, Contractor or Customer).
· Communicate any and all site conditions to PM to alleviate installation problems
· Follow all communicated and issued Schedules to all relevant groups
· Assist Installation Lead (Tech III or higher) create and update a punch list and assist with schedule for Division managers and Start up team for completion.
· Understand and assist with decisions as to whether Project Engineer, I & C personnel, or other resources are required on site.
· Understand Hydro scope of work prior to installation and if a Change Order is needed during installation.
· Keep projects on schedule with proper time management
· Ensure Hydro system is installed and ready for turnover to Start-Up team
· Assist in the effort to make Capital projects profitable by tracking time, identifying problems, and communicating with management. Provide updates during the job cycles.
· Work with Installation Leads and Project Manager for any service related work that may be required.
· Work with Installation Leads and Project Manager for scheduling Capital and non-capital projects.
· Utilize Paylocity for accurate employee payroll time keeping
· Utilize Visa Spend app for credit card tracking, receipt handling, and follow all company policies set forth for credit card responsibilities.
· If issued, maintain Hydro service van. Utilize company provided maintenance plan (Enterprise) to keep vehicle in good running condition.
· Maintain Hydro provided tools. Report any broken or damaged tools to management.
Experience and Qualification Requirements
· High School diploma or equivalent required.
· Ability to pass background check and DOT Physical.
· Valid driver’s license w/ record in good standing is required
· Hands on type of background (mechanical, plumbing, and electrical experience helpful).
· Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
· Good customer service skills
· Stay calm under pressure.
· Lift 100 lbs.
· Organized, detail oriented, flexible, high energy, self-starter, innovative, & good communicator
