Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to residents in a senior care facility
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document accurately
- Monitor and record vital signs of residents
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Follow resident rights guidelines and ensure their dignity and privacy are respected
- Collaborate with nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of residents
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to drive and have a valid driver's license
- Knowledge of hospice care principles is a plus
- Familiarity with medication administration is desirable
- Ability to lift and transfer residents safely using proper body mechanics
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor
