Speech Language Pathologist
Our client, a highly respected and growing Behavioral Health Center near Greenville, South Carolina, has engaged us to identify qualified candidates for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) role, plus there are also opportunities for others seeking PRN/Part-time roles. Position Summary
- This person has a key role within the entire organization, dealing with all units and departments of this behavioral center.
- Along with four (4) other SLP’s, has responsibility for the Acute Care Unit and Residential caseloads.
- Evaluates and manages the assessment of Speech Therapy needs, whether in individual or group settings.
- As a member of the healthcare team, education and instruction are provided to Mental Health Associates and other direct care providers to reinforce the treatment process.
- Reports to the Clinical Director and collaborates with all executive staff.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) accredited university.
- Preference for experience working with autism patients and other behavioral issues.
- One year’s experience working with school-aged children with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, autism, regulatory challenges and learning disabilities.
- Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and cognitive-communication disorders.
