Job Description:
- Partner with Firm leadership, department heads, practice group leaders, and the TA teams to create and execute robust lateral associate, professional track, and patent agent search strategies across all departments and offices.
- Develop and implement go-to-market plans, source candidates directly, and manage relationships with outside recruiters and search firms.
- Lead the full lifecycle recruitment process for lateral associates, professional track attorneys, patent agents, and summer associates, from establishing search criteria to managing due diligence and offer processes.
- Engage search firms and referral sources, directly contact prospects, and coordinate internal and external interview processes.
- Maintain real-time communication with relevant stakeholders and operations team members about candidate statuses.
- Manage the onboarding process for lateral associates, including priority introductions and mentor identification.
- Work with the Chief Talent Officer to align new hires with practice group goals and business development efforts.
- Design and implement tracking methods to measure integration success and report findings to Firm leadership.
- Enhance the Firm’s diversity recruitment efforts by creating diversity pipelines for future hires.
- Stay informed on competitive attorney recruiting market trends and protocols.
- Evaluate and evolve the Firm’s recruiting and integration processes with new insights.
- Develop recruiting materials and collateral to attract top talent.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Honigman operations teams, including IT, Finance, HR, and Business Development/Marketing.
- Budget Management: Facilitate the attorney recruitment budget and budget process in conjunction with the CTO.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor, train, and supervise administrative staff responsible for attorney recruitment.
- Department Environment: Contribute to a collaborative and collegial department environment.
- Professional Development: Participate in professional association activities for personal and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of prior recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services organization.
- A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in various software tools.
- Proven track record in recruiting lateral attorneys and summer associates within a law firm.
- Strong client service mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and engage effectively with partners and business professionals.
