Position Description
Arrupe Jesuit High School is seeking a mathematics teacher to foster student learning through the implementation of a college preparatory, integrated math curriculum informed by the Core-Plus Mathematics Program.
Qualifications
The qualified applicant will have the appropriate Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, will have experience at the secondary level, will be state certified or eligible for certification, and will be comfortable working with a heterogeneous, culturally diverse student population. Experience with the values and methods of Catholic Jesuit education is preferred.

Arrupe Jesuit High School is a co-educational, college preparatory, Catholic Jesuit school serving economically disadvantaged, racially and culturally diverse youth in Denver. Arrupe Jesuit follows the rich tradition of Ignatian education and its fulfillment of the Graduate at Graduation. In addition, Arrupe Jesuit utilizes the Corporate Work Study model of the Cristo Rey Network whereby its students earn a majority of their tuition by working in a corporate setting five days each month during the school year.

Assessment
- Use formative and summative student data to inform planning and instructional delivery
- Design assessment, both formal and informal, that best measures student learning
Curriculum
- Implement an integrated math program informed by the Core-Plus Mathematics Program, www.cpmponline.org
- Identify appropriate student learning targets for a wide range of learners
- Design learning opportunities that build upon student knowledge and skills in collaboration with the Math Department
- Design supplementary activities that build upon student knowledge and skills
Instruction
- Effectively instruct adolescent learners in an urban setting
- Use effective, research-based classroom practices
- Align curriculum and instruction to meet student needs
- Differentiate instruction
- Communicate with teachers, parents, students, and school leadership regarding student performance
Time: Full-time
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
