Business Development Director

The Business Development Director will build and execute a marketing plan for Buestad that emphasizes visits and outreach to the Bay Area’s best architects, clients, client-representatives, real estate professionals, interior designers, engineers, and other decision-makers in the building community. The goal of these connections is to establish and strengthen relationships that result in successful building projects for Buestad. The plan will specify the Director’s new business meetings per week, track potential projects and outline next steps to secure identified projects.
Buestad is seeking a candidate who is familiar with the Bay Area design/build community and who understands how to turn the new business process into actual projects. The Director will have clear understanding of Buestad’s history, approach, capabilities, and professionalism. Additional topics often covered in client and partner meetings include Buestad’s, computerized proposals, CPM Microsoft Project schedule, AC2000 cost Control Software, and ProCore project management software, so having or learning the basics of those tools is important.
The position will also manage several Buestad marketing efforts including a monthly email newsletter and its audience list, the company website, Instagram account, marketing project book, industry events, sponsorships, and other outreach vehicles. However, the Director’s primary responsibility is building relationships and securing new business.* The Director will participate in a weekly internal management meeting with the senior Buestad team.
A minimum of 3 years of business development experience in the SF Bay Area construction, architecture, design-build or interior design sectors. Knowledgeable with MS Office and Zoho.
Compensation:
Full annual salary of $120,000.00 to $140,000.00 and an development incentive bonus that reflects the Director’s success. Salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience and seniority.
