Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Conducting meticulous tests on aggregate and asphalt mix to ensure compliance with stringent specifications.
· Collaborating with seasoned technicians to understand and master various mix specifications.
· Monitoring and maintaining the quality of hot mix asphalt during production and on-site installation.
· Utilizing cutting-edge technology to test materials for weight, temperature, thickness, and gradation, ensuring top-notch performance.
· Effectively communicating test results and recommendations to pave the way for continuous improvement.
· Harnessing the power of technology to input and analyze test data with precision and efficiency.
· Providing invaluable support to paving personnel, facilitating seamless adjustments to processes to meet specifications and exceed expectations.
· Must possess or have the ability to learn basic computer software skills, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent, coupled with a passion for hands-on learning and growth.
Language Skills:
- Proficiency in English reading and comprehension, enabling effective communication and understanding of technical materials.
Mathematical Skills:
- Intermediate mathematical skills to navigate calculations and measurements.
Reasoning Ability:
- Strong problem-solving abilities, coupled with adaptability to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Walking up to ten miles per day, occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and traveling over irregular terrain. Functions also usually involve frequent sitting and standing. Performance of some tasks or operation of some equipment may require motor coordination, finger dexterity, eye-hand-foot coordination and color discrimination.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to wet, humid conditions, airborne particles, and extreme heat or cold. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration, dust, irritants, chemicals, and noise.
The noise level in the work environment is frequently very loud and may require protective equipment.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
