Position: Department Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Department Manager is the front-line contact for each team member within their respective area. They are the information source for team members. The Department Manager understands the production schedule and coaches his team to meet productivity requirements. The Department Manager is always engaged with the team, giving direction, help problem solve and praising team members for good work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- DEVELOP PEOPLE: Focus needs to be on developing a culture of accountability to oneself and the team within your assigned departments as well as the entire facility.
- QUALITY ASSURANCE / BOSS: Cooperate with our Quality Assurance Dept. to ensure full compliance with our HUD/DAPIA requirements. Also, ensure strict adherence and compliance with our B.O.S.S. quality process and initiatives.
- SAFETY: Work with our EHS Manager to ensure strict adherence to our safety rules and guidelines. Recognize unsafe conditions and communicate and arrange for their timely correction. Observe all relevant OSHA and environmental regulations. Support and ensure procedures established to assist our division in the ISO-14001 environmental certification.
- STEWARDSHIP: Protect our company’s physical assets by establishing the culture of responsibility with our teams in regard to company assets, holding team members accountable for inappropriate use and handling of assets.
- SERVANT LEADERSHIP: Set the example by treating all of the team members in your assigned departments with respect. Display servant leadership by actively looking for ways to help make things easier or more efficient for your team. When issues arise, promote and develop team member participation in developing solutions and improving results.
- ACCOUNTABILITY: Establish a culture of accountability to the team, to our culture, and to one’s self. Properly administer our company’s procedures and training methods to ensure and develop this trait within your assigned teams.
- RECORD KEEPING: Provide timely and accurately records of team member evaluations, write-ups, documented coaching opportunities, payroll data, accident reports, and quality information. Ensure timely and proper documentation of production system changes and process improvements to ensure proper training and quality improvement.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
· High school diploma or GED preferred.
· Must be able to communicate efficiently and clearly with Team Members.
· Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings greatly desired.
· Displays Positive Attitude and Confidence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
