As the Vice President of Finance & Banking at RockWallet, you will assist our CFO and lead our banking strategy and operations, ensuring our company's financial health and sustainability. This leadership role requires a highly strategic individual who can efficiently manage our financial resources, develop and maintain strong banking relationships, and provide expert guidance on financial planning, investment, and risk management. The VP of Finance & Banking will report directly to the CFO and will play a critical role in shaping the company's financial future.
This is a full-time position with a preference for Canadian-based candidates and are based in the Eastern Time Zone.

The Vice President of Finance & Banking will be responsible for the following duties and obligations:
Responsibilities
Financial Leadership and Strategy:
- Assists the CFO in the development and implementation of a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term goals.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CFO and members of the leadership team.
- Ability to quickly understand current processes and recommend/implement improvements.
Banking and Finance Relationships:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
- Continue to find additional banking partners to meet the needs of the company and its affiliates.
- Negotiate terms and manage corporate banking, financing arrangements, and investment opportunities to support the company's financial operations and growth strategy.
Revenue Reporting:
- Ensure revenue calculations are accurate.
- Working with the Financial Operations team to increase the timeliness of revenue reporting to meet organizational deadlines.
Regulatory Reporting/Financial Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of all regulatory reporting, audit processes, and financial compliance activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP and other financial regulatory requirements.
Risk Management:
- Identify and manage financial risks.
- Develop and oversee risk management policies and procedures to ensure the company's financial security.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist the CFO with the budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or CPA is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within the finance sector.
- Strong experience in sourcing and maintaining banking relationships.
- Strong understanding of Digital Assets.
- Proven track record of developing and executing financial strategies that have contributed to increased profitability and business growth.
- Deep understanding of financial regulations, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with an aptitude for delegation and managing competing priorities.
- Proficient in critical thinking, problem-solving, and active listening, and committed to continuous team improvement.
- Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
