We are currently looking for an Operations Manager to lead our team of ambassadors in the Downtown Providence District Improvement initiative.
Your Role: As the Operations Manager, you will work closely with the client and be at the forefront of transforming Downtown Providence. You will lead a large team of cleaning and safety ambassadors, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and equipped to make a positive difference. Your leadership will be key in maintaining a clean, safe, and engaging downtown experience for residents, businesses, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management: Recruit, train, and supervise and lead a large team of ambassadors. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Operational Excellence: Develop and implement operational plans to meet district improvement goals. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness.
Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with local businesses, residents, and stakeholders. Represent Block by Block at community meetings and events.
Quality Control: Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service. Address and resolve issues promptly.
Reporting & Analysis: Maintain accurate records and reports. Analyze data to continuously improve operations and ambassador performance.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of 30 employees, providing guidance and support
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget
- Monitor and analyze profit loss statements, identifying areas for improvement
- Drive sales initiatives and collaborate with the sales team to meet targets
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or at least 5 years related experience
- Proven experience in operations management, with a focus on strategic planning
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Excellent project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail
- Proficiency in analyzing financial data and making data-driven decisions
- Demonstrated success in business development and driving sales growth
- Experience in process improvement methodologies is preferred
