The ‘Beyond the Card Cross-Sell & Engagement Analytics’ team is part of the Analytics, Investment and Marketing enablement (AIM) group within GCS (Global Commercial Services) Marketing at American Express. This team is responsible for leading innovative analytics across Marketing and sales channels for the US SME segment to drive internal acquisitions with increased and sustainable engagement levels.
The Manager role is based out of NYC. The incumbent is expected to work on a wide spectrum of analytical projects focusing on targeting, distribution and drive strategic outcomes. The incumbent will come up with solutions to accelerate analytical efficiency of the team. He/she will play a critical role in formulating data-led strategies to drive profitable growth for existing and new products across Business Financing & Supplier payments such as AP Automation, non-card lending products such as Business Loans (BLOC) and Business checking accounts (BCA). The role will require the incumbent to drive not only sophisticated analysis but also heavy stakeholder management through thought-leadership.
Responsibilities
- Spearheading analytics to drive beyond the card strategies comprising cross-sell and engagement.

Drive multiple US SME strategic growth priorities like BLOC, BCA, Blueprint, and AP Automation

Support and enable the GCS partners with actionable, insightful analytical solutions to help the leadership team evaluate and drive business performance.

Partner with functional leaders, Strategic Business Partners and Senior leaders to assess and identify opportunities for better customer engagement, and revenue growth

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.

Exceptional execution skills – be able to resolve issues, identify opportunities, and define success metrics and make things happen. Drive Automation and ongoing refinement of analytical frameworks.

Willingness to challenge the status quo; breakthrough thinking to generate insights, alternatives, and opportunities for business success.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical/conceptual thinking acumen to solve business problems and articulate key findings to senior leaders/stakeholders in a succinct and concise manner

Ability to project-manage effectively and manage several concurrent projects through collaboration across teams.

Expertise in Hive, Python, PySpark, SQL encompassing data manipulation and statistical modeling/data-mining techniques and Microsoft Excel & Power point.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to build and retain strong working relationships

Demonstrated ability to work independently and across a matrix organization partnering with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver solutions at top speed

Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Economics) or business field preferred.
Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
