Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Sweep or scrub floors
- Stock supplies such as food or utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars
Skills:
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred
- Knowledge of bussing and food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff and servers
- Flexibility to work in different areas of the restaurant as needed (kitchen, dining room)
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects. The ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude is essential.
