We are looking for two Kitchen Supervisors to join the team in the 2024 - 2025 season, which starts in October 2024.
The Club at Kalea Bay is a relaxed yet elegant modern property with 88,000 square feet of amenity features that of a five-star resort, including three pools, expansive decks, a state-of-the-art wellness center, and two newly decorated restaurants. The Club at Kalea Bay continues to grow and is excited to offer an opportunity to be a part of this exceptional and progressive Culinary Team.
Our modern resort-style property houses two a la carte restaurants and three beverage outlets including The Adult Pool Bar, The Driftwood Café and Drift Bar, and our signature restaurant and lounge The Salt & Oak Restaurant. Each one of these Food and Beverage locations has been developed to create a relaxed environment for members to gather with their guests, dine with 5-star service, and create memorable experiences.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions
- Order food or other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation.
- Relieves cooks from the line when needed.
- Lead by example.
- Expedite the culinary line when needed.
- Assists in keeping the entire kitchen/s organized and clean.
- Handle food and kitchen supply inventory every month.
- Instructs and works with cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, or presentation of food.
- Collaborates with the Chef de Cuisine, Executive Sous Chef & Executive Chef to plan and develop recipes and menus.
- Supervise food preparation or cooking activities of the restaurant.
- Maintain always a positive and professional approach with coworkers and members.
- Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, or work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Arrange for equipment repairs.
- Monitor sanitation, cleaning, and labeling of food practices to ensure that employees follow Florida Health standards and regulations.

- This position operates in a private club setting.
- The employee also works in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.
- The employee may be exposed to hazards, including, but not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls, and burns.
- Frequent hand washing is required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- This position is very active and requires standing and moving for an extended period.
- The position requires walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, kneeling, climbing, crouching, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling or lifting up to 50 pounds.
