Seeking qualified, experienced, bilingual LVN to work for the Westside, Central & Northeast area. We see patients in their homes for dressing changes, wound vacs, diabetic & medication teaching, lab draws and IV picc line dressing changes. Easy to use online electronic documentation system. We provide an ipad for your use to document and obtain patient signatures.. You will receive one week of one to one training with experienced LVN mentor. You will attend weekly case conferences with our team of LVN's and RN's to discuss patient progress no less than 30 minutes and no more than one hour once a week. On call rotation is once every 7 to 8 weeks. Extra pay when on call. We have a great team and support system waiting for you to join us. Must turn in documentation daily with patient signature verifying date & time seen. Must pass routine background check.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year minimum experience in an acute care setting with experience in geriatric and medical/surgical patient care. At least one additional year of experience in a home health agency staff position preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for electronic documentation. Ipad will be provided for electronic documentation.
- Valid drivers license in the state of Texas or New Mexico with available and dependable transportation. Must provide proof of current automobile liability insurance
- Must have current CPR certification.
LVN nurses will provide basic wound care, diabetic teaching, and at times wound vac changes as ordered by the patient's physician. LVN must be IV certified. Must be able to do weekly lab draws, and provide weekly PICC Iine dressing changes. We see patients with home IV antibiotics in partnerships with local IV infusion companies. Home infusions are relatively simple and patients or caregivers infuse IV medications with training. We provide nurses with training for wound vacs and picc lines.
