Overview:
At Cigars on 35, a brand new upscale cigar bar in Lewisville, we are seeking a skilled Head Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and experience in various culinary settings.
Duties:
- Oversee kitchen operations and staff to ensure high-quality meal preparation
- Plan and create menus that meet customers' preferences and budget requirements
- Prepare and cook meals following established recipes and food safety guidelines
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Cook, Chef, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and kitchen equipment
- Experience in catering, restaurant, or fine dining establishments
- Proficiency in menu planning, meal preparation, and presentation
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant field is a plus
