Due to rapid growth, we are seeking experienced Class A Drivers/Laborers. We offer Full-time work year around. In the winter we provide Snow removal services in the form of Loader Operating, Snow Plowing, Snow Melting, & Shoveling & iin warmer weather we offer Tree Removal, Landscaping, Escavation, & Material.
The primary role of the CDL Class A Truck Driver is to safely operate a company truck and perform all required pre-trip safety inspections, post-trip inspections, and vehicle maintenance as required by the company. The CDL Class A Driver will also be responsible for driving and managing a company truck, performing daily vehicle operations, and transporting products and materials to various locations in the Massachusetts.
The secondary role will be laborer, assisting our other teams suchas groundsman work on the tree removal team, as an example. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and maintain a commercial truck with a maximum weight of 80,000 lbs.
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and post-trip inspections of the truck prior to each trip to include fuel and tire inspections
- Maintain communication with vendors, suppliers, customers, etc. to ensure timely shipments/transports
- Maintain communication with team members to ensure timely shipments/transports
- Ensure that all vehicles are clean, tidy, and properly maintained when returned home at the end of each day
- Maintain a positive attitude towards team members, customers, vendors, etc. to foster positive relationships
- General Labor as Needed (Sbow Removal, Tree Groundsman. Landscape Crew Member, Quarry Labor, etc)
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the success of the company in accordance with DOT regulations
Skills Needed:
- Hand and foot coordination.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work as a team.
- Strong critical thinking ability.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to make decisions that prevent accidents and damage to property.
- Physical ability to work a strenuous work environment and strength (50lbs+) to operate heavy equipment.
- Decision-making abilities.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license with 5 years of driving experience in a commercial environment; or have a CDL Class A License with 2 years driving experience in a commercial environment.
- OSHA Certified
- Hoisting Certified Preferred
- Clean driving record.
- DOT Medical Card
