Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities, including mechanical and electrical systems.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance activities using a variety of tools, including hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment and systems, utilizing knowledge of schematics and electrical systems.
- Use an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to identify and repair electrical issues.
- Fabricate and weld components as needed to complete maintenance tasks.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and schedule maintenance activities.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, responding promptly to maintenance requests and communicating effectively to resolve issues.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring and training junior technicians and providing guidance on best practices and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and supervisors to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in a relevant field preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including electrical schematics.
- Experience with maintenance and repair tasks, preferably in a fast-paced industrial or commercial setting.
- Proficiency with electrical tools and equipment, including an ohmmeter.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Leadership skills and the ability to mentor and train junior technicians.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and the ability to use them to track and schedule maintenance activities.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
