We are looking for a full time Customer Service Representative this position will review, monitor and process all customer demands based upon quoted lead times and support productions best options to meet the demands. Coordinates the companies’ shipping schedules with Vernet’s logistics team to the customer delivery date. Provides order-related support to the entire customer base utilizing internal and external communication tools. Serves as an internal and external customer advocate. Plans and establishes production jobs for the manufacturing operation and allocates to the proper work center based on process routings and line capacities.
What You Will Do:
- Monitor and reconcile EDI customer demand, communicate all issues to appropriate customers and internal resources.
- Review, monitor, reconcile, and process discrete customer PO’s including orders placed on customer portal websites.
- Complete a minimum of weekly reconciliations of customer open orders to ensure accuracy.
- Act as front line to all direct customer inquiries regarding ship dates, quantities, and shipping documentation
- Respond to communications from material planning, production planning, manufacturing, and shipping, promptly and take necessary action to notify customers of any updates as required.
- Schedule shipments for customer orders in ERP system to provide visibility of shipping requirements to Vernet Logistics team.
- Communicate and support order related inquiries from customer base to Vernet supply chain organization.
- Communicate and coordinate production options within supply chain organization based on customer requirements.
- Work closely with all departments to prioritize customer orders based on receipt of incoming component orders.
- Process and maintain ship to related information for the customer that is based in the ERP system. (i.e., Addresses, documentation requirements, shipping instructions, packaging instructions, or any other customer specific information that is required for shipment.)
- Research, analyze, and report on internal demand related inquires by various internal Vernet departments.
- Facilitate meetings with customers when needed.
- Overall customer order management within ERP system
- Communication of lead time, MOQ, or pricing issues on POs directly to customers
- Document drive maintenance.
- Sales Manager support
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
- High School Diploma with three to five years of experience in a customer service capacity.
- Understand the key role of customer service provides to both internal and external customers and the importance of maintaining a professional standard.
- Must be able to multi-task multiple projects simultaneously.
- A high level of communication sills is paramount and requires communication customer demand to all internal functions related to manufacturing products for the customer.
- This position acts as a front-line interface to the customers material departments, processing orders, updating customers on ship dates, provide quotes and assists in expediting customer requests.
- Knowledge of MRP, manufacturing, inventory control, and production planning is helpful.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints or forward to the appropriate department for review and resolution.
- Ability to have strong organizational and follow-up skills.
