Training and Development Manager plays a crucial role at BrightPath by overseeing the professional development of employees. This role involves identifying training needs, designing and implementing training programs, and evaluating their effectiveness. This role requires on site and in person work!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement 245D training programs for employees at all levels within the organization
- Assess training needs and create customized training plans to address skill gaps
- Design and deliver engaging and interactive training sessions using a variety of methods and technologies
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create training materials, including presentations, job aids, and e-learning modules
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback mechanisms
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to employees to reinforce learning and development
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in adult education and learning technology
- Manage the learning management system (LMS) to track employee progress and ensure compliance with training requirements
- Handle conflicts or issues that arise during training sessions or between participants
- Collaborate with HR team on recruiting efforts, including interviewing and selecting candidates for training programs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Management or other relevant area and 5 years of leadership experience with demonstrated advancement in a related health services field, or an equivalent combination of education and relatable experience is preferred. 5+ years successful program management experience in 245d programs serving vulnerable adults. Possession of current knowledge of Minnesota DHS and MN Department of Health licensing and regulatory requirements as well as HCBS setting rules.
Must meet the Designated Manager qualifications in accordance with 245D requirements, minimum of three years of supervisory level experience in a program providing direct support services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; and must minimally have:
(1) a baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
(2) an associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
(3) a diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; or
(4) a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and
(5) four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3)
