About the Role: We're looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for woodworking to join our enthusiastic team. A Cabinet Maker is a skilled craftsman responsible for building custom cabinetry. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, precision, and creativity to produce high-quality cabinets that meet specific design and functional requirements. The Cabinet Maker works closely with the design and installation team to ensure that the cabinetry is constructed skillfully to meet specifications and enhances the space's aesthetics and usability.
What You'll Do:
- Create material and hardware take-offs, generate cutlists, organize miscellaneous parts ordered for project, break down grain-sequenced sheet goods when necessary.
- Fabricate and build custom cabinets that meet detailed specifications.
- Skillfully operate woodworking tools and equipment to produce top-notch cabinetry.
- Install cabinet slides, hinges, and other hardware with precision.
- Keep your workspace tidy and maintain an up-to-date inventory of materials.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness throughout projects.
- Work with your fellow team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time.
What You Bring:
- Minimum of 3 years of cabinet-making experience.
- Advanced woodworking-related math skills.
- Proficiency in operating woodworking machinery such as sliding tables, saws, drills, sanders, and routers.
- Skilled in hand tools such as chisels, planes, and clamps.
- Knowledge of different wood types, finishes, and materials used in cabinet making.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings provided by our internal design team.
- High level of precision and attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and cuts.
- Ability to produce high-quality, finished cabinetry that meets exact specifications.
- Cabinet installation and finishing skills are a plus, but not required.
- Creative problem-solving skills to address design or construction challenges.
- Strong time management skills to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Cooperative attitude and willingness to assist team members to achieve project goals.
- Ability to lift heavy objects on and off shop lift tables and company trucks.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
- Willingness to adhere to our proven methods for building cabinets.
- Adaptability to work on various types of cabinetry projects
