We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our team as Deli Manager. As the person responsible for the deli department, you order and manage all aspects of keeping the deli department stocked on a daily basis, while implementing merchandising and sales initiatives, and ensuring superb customer service in every customer interaction. You will work with the Store Manager to determine the deli's needs and goals. This position requires considerable prior experience in a food-handling environment, and our ideal candidate has strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to work well with others to obtain a common goal as a team.
Job responsibilities include:
- place orders with vendors based on the department's needs
- ensure proper food handling within the department
- calculate pricing based on costs and appropriate gross margin
- stocking and refilling depleted inventory following proper rotation procedures
- slicing lunchmeats
- preparing and cooking rotisserie chickens
- using creativity to come up with new ideas
- cleaning and sanitizing backroom prep areas following all Safety and Sanitation Procedures
- providing excellent customer service
$500 signing bonus offered, payable after 3 months of continued employment for full-time associates.
