We are currently looking for a highly motivated, determined, Sales Manager to work alongside the DOS at the Holiday Inn & Suites Orlando SW Celebration Hotel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
As a Sales Manager, you’ll be passionate about driving revenue and profitability while providing support to hotel team. You will be primarily responsible for ensuring that revenue goals are achieved or exceeded in the controllable segments by soliciting, developing and closing on agreements.
- Manage group SMERF and Corporate accounts to maximize business potential
- Negotiate group business that meets or exceeds hotel revenue goals
- Create contracts for SMERF and Corporate accounts and the DOS as needed
- Consistently prospect for new business
- Develop long term business relationships and book repeat business
- Prepare and conduct on-site inspections
- Consistently meet and/or exceed sales goals
- Maintain total and complete sensitivity to customer satisfaction and guests’ needs.
- Be knowledgeable of competition and industry developments
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports, as well as other duties required by the Director of Sales.
- Maintain professional attitude and appearance in dealing with all other departments in the hotel.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have at least one to three years of experience in a sales environment and a love for prospecting new business. And a proven track record of success. The minimum qualifications for this position are:
- Demonstrate ability to achieve sales goals
- Driven to succeed, assertive and strives in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Google
- Knowledge of Opera, Delphi.FDC, and branded systems a plus
- Local Market experience an asset
