SGL is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Inside Sales Specialist to join our Commercial team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and establishing strong relationships with clients, with a focus on identifying new business opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships. An individual must have proven experience in BDM or Inside sales, devoted to achieving and exceeding sales targets and must have experience in Freight Forwarding operations and procedures.
Job Description:

Reporting to the head of local commercial department

Be a buffer asset between commercial department, sales organization and operations departments
-
Build pipeline for office development and key accounts
-
Actively seeks out business possibilities, referring leads as required
-
Grow revenue and relationships with existing customer base
-
Support Sales team with rates
-
Follow-up and track sales leads
-
Providing customers with engineering, shipping solutions for clients partners and prospects
-
Action on quote request
-
Managing bids generally in response to RFQ from customers
-
Receive and procure leads to our SGL offices
-
Develop and maintain customer data base
-
Retain, expand and develop relationship with customer base through constant contact
-
Assists in providing support and/or guidance to customers
-
Support operations team in negotiating rates with all vendors and quote existing customers, partners, and own SGL offices

Stay abreast on market situation and support colleagues
-
Instrumental part in local commercial strategies
-
Encourage commercial awareness within the organization
-
Building and maintaining relationships within the organization and externally with customers, carriers, and vendors
-
Provides (documented) KPI Report of commercial efforts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

Keep track of commercial activities (i.e. CRM documentation, KPI Report)

Review import / export routed shipments for more potential
-
Support with minor RFQ’s

Monitor shipper’s no-ship report and follow up with key customers volume trend
Qualifications/Education:
-
Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Freight minimum +3 years’ experience (is must)

BDM or Inside sales experience (preferred)

Commercial and customer service oriented

Superb negotiation and influencing skills

Self-starter with demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity in a high growth environment

Knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and trade compliance is a plus.
