Job Summary
We’re hiring a self-motivated, experienced, mechanical engineer to design and manage a portfolio of building controls upgrade projects. The successful candidate will work directly with staff, clients and field techs to ensure project completion on time and within budget. He or she will coordinate with project management support staff to meet all deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a back ground in mechanical engineering, commercial building controls, refrigeration systems, HVAC systems or similar. We are looking for a creative, analytical communicator to fit within our collaborative culture.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare building control system designs for various project types and scopes.
- Managing both new and retrofit building control system projects and energy optimization projects.
- Managing scheduling and deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Manage building control system startup projects, including planning, scheduling and support of sub-contractors, assembly of data and final reporting.
- Prepare and perform site surveys, data collection and project coordination.
- Remote troubleshooting for building control systems via various software applications.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and vendors.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook; AutoCAD a bonus)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or equivalent experience / education.
- Experience in commercial building controls, refrigeration, HVAC preferred.
- Advanced time management and analytical skills.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
