We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Line/Prep Cook, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retirement residence restaurant. Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist in food preparation and cooking
- Oversee inventory control and ordering of supplies
- Manage Dining Staff and Room Service
- Provide exceptional customer service for senior clients and resolve any customer concerns
- Train and mentor team members
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and possess Food Safety Manager Certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Flexibility to work early evenings (no later than 7:30pm), weekends, and holidays as needed
