Corporate Engineering Director
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Corporate Engineering Director to oversee our operational capital across our company's locations. In this role, you will focus on developing annual and three-year capital plans and providing engineering support to our maintenance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement annual and three-year capital plans, including engineering and maintenance plans, process improvements, project assignments, and budgetary costs.
- Manage financial controls for capital projects and provide support to operations and maintenance during project implementation.
- Oversee the development and execution of capital projects, including project concepts, equipment needs, vendor negotiations, and capital expenditure reports.
- Manage operational capital across all company locations.
- Ensure timely communication, execution, and delivery of capital projects within budget.
- Develop and maintain company engineering standards and process improvement standards.
- Promote and maintain corporate sustainability initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
Experience:
- Minimum of seven years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably in liquid batching processing.
- Experience in flour milling, dry mix manufacturing, and bakery product production a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Willingness to travel regularly to company facilities in North America (up to 40% travel).
- Strong communication, coaching, and project management skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
- Excellent technical knowledge of equipment, products, and processes.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Hands-on work ethic with the ability to strategically align capital projects with business objectives and strategy.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Monitor the performance of the Corporate Engineering Team, including staffing decisions, disciplinary actions, work objective development and evaluation, and project realignment.
