We are hiring a Director of Operations who will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the restaurant. The Director of Operations assists with ensuring that each visit by a customer result in a friendly and personalized service with great food that is promptly delivered in a clean and inviting environment.

The Director of Operations position is responsible for providing exceptional guest service and support, while working closely with the District Managers, Restaurant Managers and other team members to maintain operational standards and procedures.
The Director of Operations provides strong leadership by effectively managing multi-unit fast food restaurants and able to drive business growth. The Director of Operations is an exceptional communicator, both written and verbal, with established presentation and facilitation skills. A dynamic individual capable of attracting interest and enhancing knowledge in varied subject matters with consistent intensity. This person will assist developing and implementing systems, programs, processes, training strategies and tactics to support various organizational goals. Responsible for maintaining and protecting company’s core values.
This position is responsible for the operations and staff members for their assigned restaurant, including the District Managers and General Managers. The Director of Operations is responsible for leading and directing restaurant operations toward achieving the overall strategic objectives of the company and specific areas. Director of operations develops positive relationships with direct reports through frequent and substantial one on one coaching to establish goals and objectives for personal and professional growth. Inspires team members to attain goals and pursue excellence.

HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As an integral member of the Operations Team, this position is responsible for:
· Execution of all company policies, procedures, programs, and systems.
· Ensures achievement of restaurant objectives is reached in all areas while following all company guidelines.
· Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices.
· Provides leadership, direction, training, and development to subordinate managers and crewmembers. Ensures standards for product quality, equipment, and performance are maintained.
· Initiates recommendations on purchases of new equipment and improvements to business property.
· Oversees reporting and monitoring of organizational performance metrics. Ensures that relevant financial data is presented to Executive Leadership.
· Manages budget and controls expenses effectively.
· Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs within functional areas. Alerts management of cost and labor over run. Makes recommendations and implements solutions to problems related.
· Advises District and General Managers on labor issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, grievances, etc.
· Ensures Managers and supervises are adhering to company policy and administering practices in fair and equitable manner.
· Hires, trains, develops, and appraises staff effectively. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consults with human resources as appropriate.
· Partners with Human Resources in any investigations that arise in the Area and work with HR to finalize and make decisions on any action to be taken.
· Be available to work open schedule as needed and be able to work long hours, holidays, and weekends.
· Be able to travel for business purposes as needed.
HERE’S WHAT Education & Experience YOU WILL NEED:
· Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of educational and work experience
· Experience in leadership roles
· Experience in management role within the restaurant industry, preferred.
· Have high hygiene standards for cleanliness in work environment
· Be customer service focused driven
· Knowledge of managing a quick-service or full-service chain restaurant organization, human resources laws and regulations, and employee relations skills.
· Proficient skill level within MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
HERE’S WHAT Skills & Knowledge YOU WILL NEED:
· Minimum 10 years restaurant operations experience
· Proven track record and success managing multiple units/stores
· Experience working in a full service, multi-unit environment
· Proficiency in Restaurant Operating, Back of House, and Point of Sales systems preferred
· Advanced ability to communicate, influence and negotiate decisions while motivating staff
· Advanced ability to create and implement given strategic direction
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Advanced understanding of the function’s structure and policies with an intermediate understanding of the structure and policies
· Advanced understanding of budgetary concepts and procedures
· Advanced understanding of performance review process
· Advanced understanding of portfolio management: input to output, decision making process, logical sequence of activities, interdependencies between activities/tasks, deliverable prioritization, and timeline
