Roles and Responsibilities
This Lead Salesforce Business Analyst will analyze, define, and document requirements to translate customer needs into Salesforce technology solutions. You will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our projects by providing strategic guidance, technical expertise, and analytical insights. You may lead a team of analysts, collaborating closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand complex business requirements, design innovative solutions, and implement tailored Salesforce solutions that also address the unique needs of public sector organizations. Work location is in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Specific Duties
- Lead sessions to collaborate with customers to define the business requirements to meet the end users’ needs.
- Develop and document user stories with acceptance criteria as-is/to-be process flows as part of the requirements and design processes.
- Facilitate key meetings with clients and end users, such as requirement sessions, system demos, user acceptance testing, or end-user training.
- Develop detailed functional specifications, user stories, and system documentation to guide the implementation process and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the identification and analysis of bug fixes/ issues.
- Define system integration requirements and data flow.
- Create user-acceptance test plans, user guides, and system configuration documentation.
- Hands-on experience with data and data model analysis, including data migration.
- Experience leading and facilitating sprint grooming sessions and developing the product backlog.
- Execute client communication, including various written communications and one-on-one client conversations.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of complex business processes, data structures, and systems integrations to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
- Design and configure Salesforce solutions, leveraging your technical expertise and proficiency in Salesforce platform capabilities.
- Drive the testing and quality assurance process, working closely with development teams to validate solution functionality and performance.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the implementation lifecycle, ensuring successful adoption and utilization of Salesforce solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in Salesforce and public sector domains, continuously enhancing your skills and expertise.
- Create customer status reports per contract requirements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in gathering and documenting requirements.
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience configuring and handling complex processes with Flow and Process Builder required.
- Salesforce Public Sector Solutions hands-on experience
- Salesforce Administrator Certification is required. Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven track record of leading technical analysis on complex processes
- Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities, with a passion for motivating and developing junior team members.
- Proven ability to think critically and effectively communicate in a team environment.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.; or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient experience working with Microsoft Office.
- US citizenship is required.
Preferred Experience
- 8+ years of business process analysis and modeling experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Visio.
- Expert in software development lifecycles and methodologies including DevOps or agile delivery models, Scrum methodology.
- Strong proficiency in the Salesforce platform, with experience implementing solutions for public sector organizations, OmniScript, OmniStudio preferred.
- Certified Scrum Master preferred.
- Experience with JIRA.
