Hunter Hamilton has an exciting opportunity with one of our Austin HQ’d tech clients; they are hiring for a Supplier Diversity Program Lead who will work closely with the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Team, Procurement, and many senior leaders across the company to support the team’s Supplier Diversity Program goals.
The Supplier Diversity Program lead will be the primary contact within the Procurement team to promote equal opportunities, foster innovation and drive sustainable business growth through supplier diversity. Ultimately enhancing annual and developing multi-year program plans to meet and or exceed supplier diversity company goals.
Responsibilities
The role of the Supplier Diversity Program Lead will be to serve as the primary resource that will:
- Obtain and report industry trends in Supplier Diversity.
- Grow their Supplier Diversity Program by ensuring diverse supplier spend is captured and reported accurately across the company.
- Continue to build knowledge of diversity capabilities in our existing supply base while leveraging diverse suppliers throughout the Procurement Contracting or supplier selection processes.
- Aligning supplier diversity strategies with company goals to establish specific targets to increase diverse supplier spend.
- Leverage subject matter expertise to expand on the current strategy and promote Supplier Diversity best practices.
- Create the Supplier Diversity Policy.
- Develop, and maintain strong relationships with external diversity organizations such as the National Minority Supplier Development Council.
- Coordinate and attend regularly scheduled meetings to measure, track, and provide updates to Senior Leadership.
- Establish a detailed communication plan outlining how the Supplier Diversity Program will be socialized across the Senior Leadership teams.
- Assist with internal training as it relates to Supplier Diversity (i.e. Supplier Diversity technology).
- Maintain supplier diversity spend within the Supplier Diversity technological tool.
- Computer literacy and proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent amount of experience
- 7+ years of successful track record within procurement and leading a supplier diversity program
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to effectively work with both internal and external executive leadership
- Data-driven and analytical decision-making with program management oversight
- Expertise with supplier diversity technological tools (i.e., Supplier.io, Ecovadis, etc.)
- Knowledge of procurement practices, policies, and procedures
- Contract negotiation
- Knowledge of procurement spend categories and cost centers
- Deep understanding of strategic sourcing processes
- Manage and renew contracts
- Knowledge of how to execute an RFI, RFQ, and RFP
