Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for medical testing. Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to obtain blood samples
- Label vials accurately and maintain patient records
- Ensure patient comfort during procedures and provide exceptional customer service
- Conduct vital sign measurements when necessary
- Adhere to laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and laboratory techniques
- Collaborate with clinical laboratory staff to ensure accurate sample processing
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in phlebotomy techniques including blood sampling and specimen collection
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices
- Familiarity with clinical laboratory operations and procedures
- Ability to phlebotomize patients of all ages with care and precision
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Certification in phlebotomy or related field preferred
