Join the Newell Entertainment team as a Guest Experience Guide and be part of creating a memorable experience for our guests. As a Guest Experience Guide, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service at both of our Appleton location venues: Escape Room Wisconsin and Lumberjack Johnny's Axe Throwing and Pinball. Select your homebase (Escape Room or Lumberjack Johnny's) and get started as a Game Master or Axe Coach. From there, we'll cross-train you to delight guests at both venues. Stay engaged in a role that provides a wide variety of responsibilities.

Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
General Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Check-in and check-out guests efficiently
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions
- Assist with reservations as needed
- Ensure entertainment spaces, rooms and guest areas are clean and ready
- Communicate with fellow team members and management clearly, effectively and courteously
- Complete any required certifications/licensing in a timely manner
- Cross-train at Newell Entertainment venues
Escape Room Wisconsin Duties:
- Brief guests on rules and safety procedures prior to playing rooms
- Present the story and room objectives in an engaging and entertaining manner
- Oversee gameplay and provide clues and assistance as requested by guests
- Recap the room experience and escort guests through departure procedures
- Reset rooms in-between groups: this includes accurately putting the room back together, replacing worn/broken props, and touching up any worn items
- Assist with special events
Lumberjack Johnny's Duties:
- Provide coaching, guidance and encouragement to axe throwing teams
- Serve food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages
- Work cooperatively with kitchen staff to ensure food is served promptly and accurately
- Maintain target boards, axes and lanes to ensure positive guest experiences
- Assist with tournaments and special events
- Restock coolers and food storage
- Work cooperatively with pinball repair specialist to clean and maintain pinball machines
- Complete and maintain required certifications and licensing, including bartender's license, food service license and/or World Axe Throwing League judge certification
Requirements:
- Ages 18+
- Previous experience in customer service or entertainment preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in digital systems, including reservation and register software
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (holidays are voluntary with bonus pay)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 35 per week
