SUMMARY:
The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for leading and managing the internal audit department. This role involves overseeing the planning and execution of internal audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and evaluating the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The ideal candidate will possess a keen analytical mindset, excellent critical thinking, leadership qualities, and the ability to communicate complex audit findings in a clear and understandable manner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No direct reports, though individual will plan and coordinate various audits and reviews, which may involve working with staff and leaders across multiple departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Strategically plan and execute internal audit projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and in accordance with company and professional standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and evaluate business risks and ensure appropriate audit and control coverage.
- Upholds organizational and professional ethical standards and works independently under general direction with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
- Communicates the results of audit and advisory projects via concise written reports and oral presentations, including recommendations for operational enhancements and risk management.
- Maintains confidentiality of all company information obtained in the normal course of an audit assignment.
- Examples of projects may include;
- Examine the efficacy of inventory controls opportunities for precise inventory management.
- Probe into payroll processes and system configurations to validate accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Audit the administration of marketing agreements to confirm compliance with contractual terms, accurate accounting, and effective resource management.
- Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to identify unusual trends and inconsistencies in key business processes, enhancing the detection of potential issues and the formulation of appropriate recommendations.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, engineering, business administration or related discipline. Five or more years of full-time experience in auditing, accounting, business analysis, or program evaluation, including at least two years of supervisory or project management experience.
KNOWLEDGE:
Extensive skill in project planning and management and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines. Considerable skill in using Microsoft Office products (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word.)
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
None required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff, and external contacts and to work effectively in a professional team environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to communicate with production and management personnel effectively.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Strong analytical and critical thinking ability required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
High ethical standards and professionalism required. Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and the ability to learn and effectively use any and all other computer programs that are or will be made available.
