ASM Sped is looking for a new Mental Health Clinical Supervisor to join our Mental Health Team! The MH department with ASM Sped has been growing and serving more students in the Bay Area. We employ licensed clinicians and associates, and are looking for another Clinical Supervisor to support our amazing associate MHCs. The position is part-time and fully online, and reports to the ASM Sped Director of Services. Join our team as a Clinical Supervisor and play a pivotal role in guiding master’s level staff through individual and group supervision, empowering them in clinical case management and treatment services.

License Required (one of the following):
- Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) - licensed in CA
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - licensed in CA
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) - licensed in CA
- Have been licensed in California or any other state for at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years
- Have practiced psychotherapy during at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years OR provided direct supervision to ASWs, APCCs, MFT Trainees, or AMFTs who perform psychotherapy during at least two (2) years out of the last five (5).
Experience/Skills Required:
- Minimum two (2) years professional practice providing Educationally Related Mental Health Service (ERMHS)
- Proficient with SEIS
- Provide thoughtful guidance and feedback on the development of measurable and obtainable IEP goals based on relevant data
- Advanced communication skills with the ability to explain factors affecting students exhibiting externalizing & internalizing behaviors related to morbidity (anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, psychosis)
- Promote an intuitive thought process across a variety of therapeutic modalities
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of protocols and assessment involved during SI and self-injurious risk screenings
- Solid understanding of the CPS reporting process and CA state regulations
- Minimum two to five (2-5) years experience working with school-aged students
- Minimum one (1) year experience providing high quality clinical individual & group supervision
- Advanced technology skills (GSuite, etc.)
- Hold specialized knowledge of the effect of social, cultural, ethnic and emotional forces in children that affect the learning process.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in counseling provision and a strong theoretical orientation
Experience/Skills Preferred:
- Minimum five (5) years experience in a school setting
- Experience with students across grades K-12
- Experience with diverse general education populations
- Developed and implemented social/emotional trainings for teachers & school staff
- Basic competency and knowledge of community resources

Schedule
- Part-Time
- Supervision to be provided during work hours: between 8AM and 6PM based on supervisor and supervisee availability and scheduling preferences
- Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for preparation, documentation and planning purposes
Work Location:
- This position is fully remote. No in person work is required.
Responsibilities:
- Provides individual & group supervision, training, professional development, and oversight of up to 8 AMFTs, AMSWs, and APCCs to ensure high quality service delivery to clients
- Support with clinical on-boarding of new MHC hires
- Provide leadership to the MH staff team, cultivating a program culture that supports safety, engagement, collaboration, and ongoing learning
- Provide consultation and training to program staff, caregivers, partners and other providers, as assigned, in areas such as clinical treatment, client service planning, crisis management, safety assessment, etc.
- Works with the Director of Services to review outcome data and apply findings to supervision for service quality improvement and training purposes.
- Supports with development of trainings for MHCs
- Reviews and ensures documentation is submitted in a timely manner and in compliance with agency and CA Ed Code requirements
- Provides guidance to associate clinicians regarding the provision of Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) to students in special education
- Promote the implementation of evidence/research based practices, to address symptoms of trauma, depression, anxiety and other mental health concerns
- Provide clinicians with psycho-education on topics that include mental health, trauma awareness, social skills, conflict mediation, grief, drug prevention, and other social emotional issues that impact learning. Promote parent engagement in the educational process.
- Provide mental health consultation and collaborate with teachers and school staff in supporting core instructional services in order to increase academic engagement time and plan/implement positive behavior support.
- Monitor student progress toward achieving, social/emotional, behavioral, executive functioning, and attendance goals support associate clinicians with completion of progress reports regarding students’ progress on their goals in accordance with school policies.
- Participate in IEP meetings on behalf of supervisees as needed and report on student progress in counseling.
- Support associate clinicians with ongoing casework management of related cases, arrange for services, maintain records related to student services, consult with school personnel and partner agencies in supporting identified students
- Makes appropriate referrals of families and/or students to public or private community resources for assistance and work cooperatively with them.
- On behalf of students, act as liaison and advocates between relatives, families, school faculty and staff, physicians, and other service providers
Pay/Benefits:
- Hourly $65-70 per hour starting pay with the possibility of increase over time.
- Paid sick time based on accrual
