In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Exec Manager, User Experience->> Manages the user experience function and leads the most complex projects involving user research and testing, interaction design, and visual design. Directs strategies and processes for the most complex user experience projects including overseeing user research, usability testing, surveys, interviews, work studies and heuristic evaluations. Reviews research findings for presentations to senior management in product and development teams. Oversees and manages the creation of new and modification of existing user personas. Develops strategy for creating concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications. Acts as the primary interface between technology infrastructure and a specific business/functional area. Interprets user feedback and insights for the most high profile and strategic projects. Directs changes needed to improve the user experience. Identifies business unit requirements, creates project and process specifications, coordinates with project teams, and ensures that projects are on schedule and to budget. Advocates user experience across the firm and increases awareness of training for groups outside UX. Manages and oversees the UX process to ensure that the developed/revised product achieves the user's specified goals by establishing user-centered analysis, design, best practices and standards. Evaluates current UX methods and strategies and implements determined improvements. Manages User Experience function through group managers. Contributes to the achievement of User Experience objectives.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree or MBA preferred 15+ years of related experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
