Union Capital Associates is hiring for a full time Financial Operating Director, in a remote role on the East Coast.
As a Financial Operating Director for Union Capital Portfolio Companies, you will play a crucial role in furthering the data-driven mindset of the decision-making process across the portfolio of companies at Union Capital Associates. This role will work collaboratively with 1-3 companies at a time, focusing on finding analytical solutions to grow the Revenue and Profitability of the businesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Insights: Conduct financial analysis to assess business performance, identify trends and risks, and support strategic decision-making. This will include partnering with business unit leaders to translate financial data into actionable business plans and initiatives.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Union Capital deal team, Operating Partners, and portfolio company CFOs and CEOs to gather relevant information on key growth drivers to monitor and track as part of executing strategic growth initiatives.
- Regular Financial Reporting: Maintain ownership of key regular reporting requirements, including, but not limited to monthly reporting to lenders and internal stakeholders, cash forecasting, annual budgets / forecasts, etc.
- Process efficiencies: Coordinate with third-party consulting firms to drive process improvements and automations in regular reporting requirements of the business.
- Organization: Maintain strong records and flexibility while working on multiple companies across Union Capital Associates’ growing portfolio.

Due Diligence Support: Provide analytical expertise during the due diligence process for potential investments, evaluating financial statements, data availability and uncovering any hidden risks or opportunities.

Potential Career Progression: This is a potential CFO career track position.
QUALIFICATIONS-
Proven experience (4 – 7 years) in analytical and critical thinking, ideally at least 2 years within a Quality of Earnings Financial Due Diligence professional services firm or private equity firm.

Strong understanding of financial analysis techniques and methodologies.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and ethical standards.

A strategic mindset with a focus on business partnering and driving enterprise value.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFE) is highly desirable.

Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g. Excel, data analytics tools, QuickBooks / Great Plains / etc., ADP / Paylocity / etc.).
