As a Quality Control Inspector specializing in Steel Metal Pipes for the solar panel industry, your primary role is to ensure that all steel pipes used in solar panel mounting structures meet stringent quality standards. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive inspections of steel metal pipes used in solar panel mounting systems. Perform visual assessments, dimensional measurements. Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement quality control procedures specific to the solar panel industry. Ensure adherence to design specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements throughout the manufacturing process. Maintain accurate records of inspection results, including detailed reports on measurements, test findings, and any deviations from quality standards. Document corrective actions taken to address identified issues and ensure traceability. Investigate root causes of quality issues and work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions. Ensure prompt resolution of quality-related issues to minimize production delays and customer impact. Stay abreast of relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications applicable to solar panel mounting structures. Ensure that all quality control processes and procedures comply with regulatory requirements and internal quality management systems.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in quality control/assurance within the steel manufacturing industry, with a focus on products for the solar energy sector preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Thorough understanding of steel manufacturing processes, including forming, welding, and finishing techniques. Previous experience in quality control/assurance within the steel manufacturing industry, particularly in metal pipe production. The use of basic tools such as tape measure, calipers and micrometers to verify accuracy adherence to engineering drawings and visual inspections of imperfections.
This role primarily involves working in a manufacturing environment, including production facilities and inspection areas specific to solar panel mounting structures. Adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hat, earplugs, safety glasses, gloves and steel toe boots/shoes are essential due to potential exposure to industrial hazards. Will involve significant noise levels, varying temperatures ranging from very hot to cold, occasional heavy lifting as part of a team (up to 40-50 lbs), and extended periods of standing on concrete surfaces, accounting for approximately 90% of your time.
