Overview:
Ace Crane Service is seeking a skilled and reliable Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and servicing overhead cranes and hoists to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on overhead cranes and hoists.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems in cranes and related equipment.
- Perform repairs and replace defective components as needed.
- Test cranes to ensure proper operation and adherence to safety standards.
- Document all service and maintenance activities, including detailed reports of inspections and repairs.
- Respond to emergency service requests promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other technicians and office staff to resolve complex technical problems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a service technician, preferably with overhead cranes or similar equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working at heights.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
- Willingness to travel if needed.
