MTNA Anderson Plant is looking for a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment while following all MTNA safety policies and procedures. The 3rd shift Maintenance Technician will need to be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
This position will train on 1st shift for a period of time before transitioning to 3rd shift.
Pay rate is $23.37
Essential Functions:
- Will troubleshoot issues and make repairs to production equipment, machines, and fixtures
- Support maintenance of building/structure; repair issues with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, some maintenance of grounds.
- Analyze production equipment to determine effective countermeasures to minimize downtime and eliminate repetitive issues.
- Update and maintain equipment logs, and other reporting systems and/or documentation as required
- Assist with inventory control, provide information from PM’s for MP2 database
- Complete work orders, PM’s, and miscellaneous maintenance projects as assigned
- Assist in movement of production lines and equipment
- Communicate machine/equipment issues hindering production immediately to management
- Other duties as assigned by management
Physical/Environmental Conditions:
- Stand/walk at least 8 hrs. a day
- Consistent and repetitive motion of arms legs (bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, lifting, etc.)
- Repetitive motions of wrists
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Computer work
- Will be required to work overtime as needed
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in related field in manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to take direction and work with sense of urgency
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, with ability to prioritize with little supervision
- Experience with Hydraulics and Pneumatics, electrical, HVAC, and manufacturing equipment strongly preferred
- Metal fabrication with MIG welding experience preferred
- Strong math skills
