Regional Nurse Consultant (RN) - DC, MD and VA
We are currently searching for a Regional Nurse Consultant (RN) to provide support and mentorship for multiple Senior Care / Skilled Nursing communities located in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia areas. This person will help implement and coordinate programs to monitor and improve the quality of resident care, maintain regulatory compliance, and enhance efficiency for the communities. The ideal candidate will be an RN with a minimum of 3 years experience in Skilled Nursing, Long Term Care and Rehabilitation settings. The position requires regular travel to the communities. RNs with previous multi-site experience, as well as Quality Assurance (QA) or Director of Nursing (DON) experience are encouraged to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implements and monitors process to identify risk areas and promote continuous quality improvement
- Recommends and implements policy and procedure
- Conducts assessment and medical record review to meet regulatory requirements
- Provides education and training to enhance skills of nursing and other personnel
- Assists with implementation of health information systems
- Conducts mock Surveys and assists with Survey preparedness as needed
- Provides clinical expertise for complex clinical residents
- Reports to management on quality of care and regulatory compliance
- Acts as support and mentor to community staff
- Works with consultants and vendors to achieve community goals
- Cooperates with other management personnel in implementing and communicating company policies, procedures, and goals
Requirements:
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care; previous multi-site and MDS experience a big plus
- Must have a valid Driver's license and have the ability to travel as needed
