Who is Comprehensive Healthcare?
Comprehensive Healthcare provides innovative behavioral health and integrated healthcare services to clients of all ages. We take pride in our creative and collaborative work environment and in delivering clinically excellent, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services.
What are we looking for in a Nurse?
Nurses for our outpatient programs collaborate with various outpatient treatment teams to provide integrated, evidence-based treatment to clients. Nurses work closely with clients to administer medications, to provide education about prescriptions and general health needs, and to develop a treatment plan that reflects the clients’ goals. When possible, nurses will also coordinate with clients’ families or social supports to help position clients for success. Our programs have adopted trauma-informed principles to client care, so the nursing process will similarly take a respectful, client-centered approach. This position is part of our outpatient medication-assisted treatment program for individuals who are opioid-dependent. Substance use treatment at Comprehensive is evidence-based and emphasizes harm reduction & continued progress toward each individual’s recovery goals. This position requires a Nurse who demonstrates an understanding of substance use disorders and their treatment, supports the evidence-based model of medication-assisted treatment, and understands the potential risks and requirement to follow exactly all protocols & testing to provide safe treatment. This is a per-diem position (intermittent and as-needed) with no set schedule and no guarantee of hours in a given week. As such, it is not eligible for most employment benefits. Since this RN position will support our opioid treatment programs in outpatient and at our mobile MAT unit, available shifts may start as early as 5am or end as late as 5:30pm and may include all 7 days per week.
