We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to ensure the organization’s financial records remain accurate while meeting reporting deadlines. This role is responsible for establishing internal controls and guidelines for preparing transactions with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), reviewing financial statements, and preparing reports for leadership. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position is instrumental in driving the company’s financial success and growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Strategic Leadership
- Assist with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and streamlining of accounting and financial processes.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Develop and implement department controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze financial data and create reports for leadership and external parties.
Collaboration and Reporting
- Work closely with the leadership team to advise on budgets, financial strategy, financial reporting, and forecasting.
- Build strong relationships with all departments and external consultants to achieve department goals.
- Participate and consult in strategic business growth, development, and innovation sessions, with a focus on the financial impact.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to delivery and documentation of patient care.
- Coordinate periodic audits or reconciliations to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.
Team Development
- Assist other departments as they develop strategies and objectives that could have a financial impact on the organization.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and cross-functional cooperation.
Performance Metrics
- Establish and meet targets for accounts receivable efficiency, point of service collections, and additional relevant KPIs.
- Communicate and track RCM metrics, as per Senior Leadership.
- Facilitate transparency into the RCM and credentialing processes.
