JOB MISSION
Pacific Lifestyle Homes, a leading name in homebuilding, is seeking a skilled Drafter to create precise plot plans, architectural drafts, and address-specific plans while ensuring compliance with local permitting procedures. This full-time position as a Drafter, based in Vancouver, WA, offers an exciting career opportunity to coordinate with engineering partners, provide prompt customer and permit support, and maintain organized documentation. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Our office is in Vancouver, WA, close to I–205, with a general work schedule of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Requirements:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Plot Plans and Research: Research and find plats or surveys using local GIS, recreate lot lines, develop options for house placement and orientation, generate site layout options, and ensure complete and accurate agency submittals while following OR and WA permitting procedures.

Architectural Drafting: Generate lot-specific drawings, revise existing plan documents with engineering details, and organize work for computer access. Provide timely support to builders on-site and expedite permitting by liaising with city/county staff.

Plan Creation and Maintenance: Produce address-specific plans within set deadlines, update and manage the plan library per manager's directives, create new plan designs from schematics to design development stage, and execute SPR drafting tasks.

Customer and Permit Support: Field questions and update previously distributed work promptly, support the Permit Coordinator with submittal materials and questions, and analyze, research, and defend drawings to jurisdictional reviewers as needed.

Vendor Coordination: Communicate with and analyze engineering partners' work for accuracy and value engineering, holding partners accountable to agreed timelines for completion.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Associate's degree with 1-5 years of drafting experience or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.

Residential construction or home remodeling drafting experience required.

Strong customer service skills and ability to build rapport.

Professional demeanor and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Familiarity with building codes and permitting standards in WA and OR preferred.

Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to conduct internet research and familiarity with local GIS.
-
Proficiency in AutoCAD required, Revit experience desirable.
-
Hands-on construction experience (e.g., framing) helpful but not required.
